Central Institute for the Deaf (CID)
is a school for auditory-oral deaf education where children learn to listen, talk, read and succeed without using sign language. CID offers continuing education deaf education workshops and consultation for schools starting auditory-oral and oral deaf education programs for children. The CID oral school is a practicum site
for graduate students in the Washington University School of Medicine Program in Audiology and Communication Sciences.
